Hi there! I’m Janet Thomson

I’ve been a notary and loan signing agent since 2021 but I have been learning about the mortgage industry for much longer. I’m currently based in southern California with my military spouse and our twelve year old Shih Tzu dog.

Prior to becoming a notary public, I was a real estate content writer and journalist for such publications as Curbed, CAAR Real Estate Weekly, and C’Ville Weekly to name a few.

Writing articles prepared me to meet deadlines, sharpen my listening skills and follow instructions.

In college, I majored in Political Science and minored in Africana Studies at Agnes Scott College.

I toyed with the idea of becoming an attorney after spending fifteen years working as a legal secretary and paralegal. During the span of my legal career, I worked in real estate, trust and estate and financial restructuring departments, just to name a few.
So, I understand the importance of confidentially and meeting deadlines when it comes to closing loans and notarizing important documents.
Now that I’m armed with these skills, I decided to come from behind the computer and bring my expertise directly to customers face-to-face.
